Scottish-born, I now live on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset with my husband, and Monty our enormous cavalier. Our two adult children live in N. Yorkshire and Zurich, Switzerland.
Changing five primary schools meant I could not read until given special lessons. This gave me a deep love of reading, and being an only child, I devoured books. Following this experience, I became a teacher. Unable to continue because of mobility problems, due to E.D.S., I became a home tutor. After extra training, I specialise in children with reading difficulties.
I studied botanical art for many years but developed RSI. Determined to carry on with my art and writing, I now paint with my left hand and dictate all my novels. I still paint flowers trying to capture their fleeting beauty.
An avid reader, I love cozy mysteries, where the murder doesn’t scare me to death! I enjoy writing humorous mysteries with eccentric characters, who always get in a pickle! I set many of my books in Cornwall, which holds a special place in my heart.
